Benjamin Williams about the parallels he sees with the movement in the 50’s and 60’s and what is happening today. ABOUT THE GUESTS

Dr. H. Benjamin Williams is the President of the Cobb County Chapter of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC).  He has devoted his life to social justice and has been instrumental in moving the needle towards equity for marginalized communities impacted by injustice.  Williams believes the legacy of the Civil Rights Movement still lives on and views that it is part of his responsibility to demonstrate, guide and support the next generation of justice leaders.   

Williams is a retired educator with more than 30 years of service in public schools, higher education and community organizations. The foundation of Dr. Williams’ professional preparation was established at Cheyney State College, the world’s oldest historically Black college. His advanced degrees in the areas of curriculum leadership, policy science, and system development were earned at Rhode Island College and Boston University, respectively.

He resides in Atlanta, GA with his wife Dr. Sharon Davis Williams.
